“Liberated” from its cask in 2012 after five years of maturation in a tropical climate, Rhum Rhum Liberation 2012 Full Proof is a higher strength version of its sibling ‘High Proof ’. At 59.8°, no water has been added before bottling, making it the “unabridged”, cask strength version of this rum. Aged in barrels from a famous chateau in Sauternes, it has surprising power and richness, remaining clearly marked by woody notes of sugar cane and very ripe fruit. The sugar cane juice distilled comes from the red cane and the well-known B47.258, croped and distilled in a traditional way by Gianni Capovilla in collaboration with Luca Gargano of Velier.
