Der WILD WOLF OF ISLAY kehrt auf die geheimnisvolle schottische Insel Islay zurück. An den Ufern des wilden Atlantischen Ozeans ist die Bunnahabhain-Destillerie über eine kleine, einspurige Straße zu erreichen, die sich zwischen sanften Hügeln und der Bucht von Bunnahabhain befindet. Seit 1881 nutzen sie die natürlichen Zutaten, die eine friedliche Umgebung bietet. Unterstützt durch die Leidenschaft und Hingabe der Menschen hat Bunnahabhain Mensch und Natur in perfekter Harmonie zusammengebracht. Bunnahabhain, was auf Gälisch "Flussmündung" bedeutet, wie es an der Mündung der Margadale-Quelle an den Ufern des Sundes von Islay steht, wurde 1881 gegründet.
Der WILDE WOLF VON ISLAY wurde in Fässern aus amerikanischer Eiche gereift.
Sein Geschmack ist sehr küstennah, mit einem zarten Geruch nach nassem Gras, Vanille, Tabakblättern und himmlischem Marzipan. Am Gaumen werden Sie zunächst eine elegante Drehung von Zitronenschale und Bergamottenorange bemerken, bevor dunkler Kiefernhonig und zerdrückte Pekannüsse Ihren Mund überfluten. Der Abgang ist lang und elegant mit Noten von Kokosnuss und gerösteten Nüssen. Süßer Honig umarmt die ledrigen Aromen zusammen mit einem dezent frischen Mentholgeschmack. Sláinte!

The WILD WOLF OF ISLAY returns to the mysterious Scottish island of Islay. At the shores of the wild Atlantic Ocean, the Bunnahabhain distillery is accessed by a small, single track road, nestled in between rolling hills and Bunnahabhain bay. Since 1881, they have harnessed the natural ingredients provided by peaceful surroundings. Supported by the passion and dedication of the people, Bunnahabhain has brought man and nature together in perfect harmony. Bunnahabhain, which means ‘mouth of the river’ in Gaelic, as it stands at the mouth of the Margadale Spring on the shores of the Sound of Islay was founded in 1881.
The WILD WOLF OF ISLAY was matured in American oak casks.
It's flavor is very coastal, with a delicate wet grass smell, vanilla, tobacco leaves and heavenly marzipan. On the palate you will first notice an elegant twist of lemon rind and bergamot orange, before dark pine honey and smashed pecans will flood your mouth. The finish is long and elegant with coconut and roasted nut notes. Sweet honey embraces the leathery aromas along with a decently fresh menthol flavor. Sláinte!
